Place of installation:

·         Choose a stable place near the television or stereo system being used with the player. Do not place the DVD player on top of the television.

·         Do not block ventilation openings. Do not use the DVD player on shaggy rugs, beds, sofas, etc., or wrapped in cloth, etc. Doing so will prevent the heat from escaping leading to overheating, and malfunctioning, and will eventually damage the product.

·         Make sure there is free circulation of air that is, there are no obstacles around the ventilation slots and leave at least 10cm clearance on all sides.

Avoid the following places:

·         Places exposed to direct sunlight over long periods as this may cause overheating and damage to the exterior of the unit.

·         Damp or poorly ventilated places

·         Extremely hot sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

·         Places exposed to vibrations

·         Places in which there is much dust or cigarette smoke

·         Near water and moisture. Do not use this unit near water such as near a bathtub, washbowl, swimming pool, etc. as dangerous high voltages are present inside the enclosure and are prone to electrical shock or fire. Do not open the cabinet refer serving to qualified personnel only.

Cleaning the unit:

·         Unplug the power cord from the power outlet when cleaning the player.

·         Clean the unit using only a soft and dry cloth with a mild detergent solution.

·         Alcohol, thinner, benzene, insecticides, etc. could cause the print and/or paint to peel off. Also, leaving rubber or vinyl products in contact with the player for long periods of time could mar the cabinet.

Notes on Moisture Condensation

The pickup may be condensed with water under the following situation.

Condensation may occur in the following situation:

·         When you bring the unit directly from a cold place to a warm place.

·         When you use the unit in a room where you just turned on the heater or a place where the cold air from the air conditioner directly hits the unit.

·         When you use the unit in a hot and humid place just after you move the unit from the air-conditioned room.

·         The room is vaporous or damp.

If condensation exists, the unit will not operate properly. Steps to take to assist in resolving this issue:

·         Remove the disc, connect the power cord of the unit to the wall outlet, turn on the unit, and leave it for two or three hours.

·         After two or three hours the unit will have warmed up and evaporated any moisture. Keep the unit connected to the wall outlet and moisture condensation will seldom occur.
