We are going to answer these two questions:

Is the CR2 battery the same as CR123?

Can CR2 and CR123 batteries use interchangeably?

The image below clearly shows the difference between CR2 and CR123 batteries. While CR123 battery and CR2 battery have the same voltage and are both manufactured as lithium batteries however because of their differences in size CR2 batteries are NOT the same as CR123A batteries and CAN NOT be used interchangeably.
