Safety Precautions when using a Blender

Before the FIRST use of the blender:
Check that the accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Then pour a little water into the jar and mix according, then pour out. Clean top-cover, measuring cup jar thoroughly with warm water.

Warning: the blade is sharp, handle with great care and ensure that the blender is unplug from the electrical outlet before assembling and removing parts. 

 

When using the electrical appliance, the below basic safety precautions should be followed:

  1. Before using check that the voltage power corresponds to the one shown on the appliance nameplate. 
  2. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter-top. 
  3. Do not operate any appliance with a damage cord or plug or after the appliance malfunction or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment. 
  4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified personal in the field of electronics in order to avoid an injury to person or further damage to the product.
  5. Supervision by an adult if the child or children are under the age of 16 years. 
  6. Avoid contacting moving parts 
  7. Blender blades are usually SHARP so handle with care.
  8. The use of any other attachment / part other than what came with the blender or what the manufacturer has recommended may cause fire, electric shock or injury. 
  9. The blender can not be used for blending hard and dry substance otherwise the blender blade could be blunted. 
  10. Switch OFF the blender before touching any part(s) which are in motion. 
  11. Do not immerse the Motor Unit into water or other liquids.
  12. Blenders are not intended for use by persons including children with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge unless they are under supervision or instruction concerning use of the blender by a person responsible for their safety. 
  13.  Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. 
  14. Do not use blenders outdoors. 
  15. Care shall be taken when handling the SHARP cutting blades, emptying the blender jar and during cleaning as to avoid any potential injury.
