Purpose of a Polarized Electrical Plug

The reasoning why must electrical household appliance plugs are Polarized is to reduce the risk of electrical shock.

If your household appliance has a polarized plug meaning one blade is wider than the other one, please follow the below instructions:

To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this type of plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only in one direction. If the plug does not fit into a polarized outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.

Make safety your number ONE business.
