The HDMI cable connection transfers both video and audio (sound signals) simultaneously through one cable. The HDMI connection transfers uncompressed digital video, as well as almost every kind of digital audio that the connected component is compatiable with, including DVD-Video, DVD-Audio, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, Video CD/ Super VCD and CD.
